Insurer’s President and Chief Executive Officer Honored by The Insurance Library Association of Boston for Extensive Work in the New England Insurance Industry
BOSTON – August 18, 2022 – Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation announced that Mary Boyd, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been named the 2022 Insurance Professional of the Year by the Insurance Library Association of Boston. Boyd is the youngest recipient of the Insurance Professional of the Year honor.
Founded in 1887, The Insurance Library enriches the insurance and risk management community by preserving the history of insurance, offering unsurpassed research services, providing and supporting education, and facilitating engagement. In its 20th year, the annual Insurance Professional of the Year Award is presented to a person who demonstrates leadership and exemplifies qualities that engender understanding of and respect for the risk management and insurance industry.
A seasoned executive in the insurance industry, Boyd receives this award for her experience leading businesses through transformative phases that span innovation, renovation, integration and rebuilding. For nearly 30 years, Boyd has translated strategic vision into reality as she leads organizations tackling operational, technological and team transformation. Boyd joined Plymouth Rock in 2018, where she is guiding her team through a multi-discipline digital evolution that connected product, customer and agency partner digital experiences across the customer life cycle. Today, Boyd has financial responsibility for Plymouth Rock’s nearly $900 million Independent Agency Auto, Pilgrim services and Umbrella liability businesses.

Boyd will be recognized at the 20th presentation of the Insurance Professional of the Year Award ceremony on October 28, 2022 at the InterContinental Boston.
